Oltre trent’anni di onorata e devastante carriera alle spalle, la spietatezza dei Cryptopsy ha ormai obliterato le ultime briciole di freno che aveva davanti. 
Nove album in studio alle spalle, l’ultimo dei quali - «An Unsatiable Violence» - uscito l’anno scorso con Season of Mist, i Cryptopsy infrangono regole e limiti fin dalla loro formazione, ammutolendo e brutalizzando la scena death metal internazionale con una batteria ipersonica, riff atonali e irregolari e passaggi melodici tanto irritanti quanto pressanti, affiancati da testi di denuncia sempre più scabrosi e inclementi. Un esempio di quanto il loro assalto sonoro sia insediante? Hanno espugnato al mondo mainstream nientemeno che un premio Juno per miglior album metal dell’anno. Qualcosa che ben pochi gruppi oltre l’estremo possono vantare.

I Cryptopsy si accaniranno contro Cervia dopo il brutale sold out scatenato su Milano, questo febbraio, accompagnati da Ulvedharr e Strike Avenue. Se non ne avete già in casa, fareste meglio a procurarvi dei paradenti.
